You will be responsible for daily sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of communal spaces such as offices, hallways, lounges, laundry rooms, kitchens, and staircases. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will also clean and stock bathroom supplies regularly and take care of waste management duties including cleaning the compactor and disposing of garbage appropriately three times a week. Your role extends beyond routine cleaning, involving minor maintenance tasks like hanging pictures, painting, replacing light bulbs, fixing faucets, stripping floors, and re-waxing surfaces. You will assist with cleaning individual resident apartments and preparing vacant units for new occupants. Additionally, you will work closely with outside maintenance vendors by escorting them while they perform their duties and report any damages or issues to the Program Director promptly. This role requires a commitment to professional interaction with residents, maintaining confidentiality as per federal and New York State laws, and adherence to the facility’s policies and procedures. Regular meetings with the Program Director will be necessary for supervision and to ensure that your work aligns with the program's goals. The hourly salary for this position is $22.54, highlighting a competitive wage for a full-time role that offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community living in a residential setting.
