The Porter role at SpaceX is a key support position within the private restaurant environment serving employees and management staff. This position involves ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and providing courteous interaction with guests and colleagues. The Porter will follow stringent sanitation and food safety protocols, handle inventory management tasks including accurately rotating stock using the FIFO method, and maintain an overall safe and efficient working environment. This role requires strong coordination with kitchen management as well as the ability to perform various assigned tasks with attention to detail and adherence to company safety standards. SpaceX is committed to offering its employees a comprehensive compensation package including hourly pay starting at $22.50 for entry level with potential increases to $24.00 per hour based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Working as a Porter at SpaceX requires physical stamina as well as the ability to perform tasks involving lifting heavy items up to 30 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The position is primarily scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7:30 PM, with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will have a background in restaurant, warehouse, or customer service experience, and possess or be willing to obtain a valid California food handler's card. • Must have high school diploma or equivalency certificate
• minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant, warehouse, or customer service
• availability to work 1st shift Monday to Friday from 9AM to 7:30PM
• valid driver's license
• ability to carry large, heavy items unassisted up to 30 lbs
• ability to stand for long periods of 8-10 hours daily
• willingness to work all shifts including overtime and weekends as needed
• frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
• must conform to US Government export regulations requiring US citizenship or authorized status under ITAR
