The Cook role at Guest Services is a vital position responsible for supporting the Chef or General Manager by preparing, cooking, and serving food to meet high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This hourly position offers a wage of $12.00 and involves working in a dynamic kitchen environment that demands both culinary skill and rigorous attention to cleanliness and safety. Key responsibilities include preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and daily menus, ensuring that kitchen equipment and appliances are clean and functioning properly, and effectively operating food stations by managing checklists, temperature logs, and signage. Additionally, the Cook assists with requisitioning food supplies and kitchen equipment based on future needs and contributes to economic meal preparation by monitoring menus and spending. The role requires strong adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices, evidenced by the Food Safety certification requirement. Physical demands are significant, including frequent movement within the unit, lifting and carrying heavy objects, standing for prolonged periods, and enduring temperature extremes in various kitchen areas.   • Partial high school education required
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Food safety certified
  • Ability to stand for the entire work day
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes including freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas
