The Traffic Control Supervisor role is a critical position within RoadSafe’s operational team. This role involves designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones to ensure the safety of workers and the general public. The supervisor oversees the use of traffic control devices that help redirect drivers and pedestrians safely around construction or maintenance areas. Key responsibilities include monitoring road repair projects and supervising teams tasked with installing appropriate traffic safety equipment. This position requires proficiency in operating company trucks, including specialized vehicles such as Management of Traffic (MOT) and Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) vehicles, to transport materials and safeguard the work zones. The Traffic Control Supervisor must be skilled in positioning construction signs, traffic cones, arrow boards, and variable message boards effectively in work areas. In addition to operational duties, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining proper work zone setups throughout shifts, collecting and loading traffic control items at the start and end of each day, and performing necessary maintenance and repairs on equipment. Adherence to safety regulations and company policies is a fundamental aspect of the role, ensuring all activities contribute to a hazard-free environment. This position demands availability for rotating on-call schedules, willingness to travel statewide, including occasional overnight stays, and flexibility to work nights and weekends depending on project requirements.   • valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of experience and 4,000 in field hours in traffic control
  • must successfully complete the ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • must be able to pass a background check including motor vehicle records check
  • must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements
  • wear proper safety equipment work boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest
  • basic reading and writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork, and knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • must be able to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained
  • good knowledge of state and local roadways and experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects
  • must be available for a rotating on-call schedule
