The role of the Front of House (FOH) team member at Pei Wei Asian Kitchen is integral to maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of customer service and operational excellence. The FOH team member is responsible for accommodating guests' needs by greeting them promptly and professionally, providing information about the menu, and explaining the unique 'How to Pei Wei' dining experience. This position handles orders placed by guests for dine-in or takeout, whether the order is made in person, by phone, or online. The role involves managing the overall setup, maintenance, and closing duties for the front of house according to Pei Wei’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position requires proficiency in processing phone orders swiftly and accurately, using the POS (Point of Sale) system to take and process customer orders, and accurately handling payments, including cash and credit card transactions. The FOH team member is also responsible for greeting and welcoming customers as they enter the restaurant, packaging take-home orders efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness in the front of house area, including the drink and condiment stations. This role demands strict adherence to the dress code and the ability to work in various temperature conditions, including warmer environments around the kitchen. Working in the fast-paced environment of Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, the FOH team member must be able to maintain composure and deliver excellent customer service even under pressure. This includes accurately tabulating data related to bills, total amounts, and restaurant expenses within the POS system. • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience as a cashier and operating a POS system
• Understanding of English language
