Reporting to the Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook assists in crafting a variety of baked goods including cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, and other desserts, precisely following established recipes to ensure quality and consistency. The role demands not only culinary skill but also a commitment to maintaining the Bake Shop's cleanliness and adherence to local and state health codes, along with creating a safe and hazard-free workplace. The Pastry Cook helps to nurture a fresh, positive, and exciting atmosphere where safety, product excellence, and superior service delivery are key priorities. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Gaming Commission Regulations, supporting the Food and Beverage Department's profitability through effective section management, and helping to recreate recipes as directed by management. This position also involves on-the-job training, preparation of daily food requirements and specials, and communication with chefs regarding inventory for upcoming shifts.
