Offering a competitive pay rate of $24.35 per hour, the position provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere during day shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This Food and Beverage Culinary position involves crucial kitchen responsibilities focused on food preparation and safety. The successful candidate will prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food properly, ensuring all steps meet quality and presentation standards according to established recipes and food preparation checklists. Experience with washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing and mixing ingredients accurately, and preparing both hot and cold foods is essential. The role requires operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, with the responsibility to test foods to confirm proper cooking levels and monitor food quality throughout preparation. Additionally, the position includes setting up and breaking down workstations and serving food in proper portions and appropriate receptacles. Sanitation and cleanliness are vital, requiring the washing and disinfecting of kitchen areas, tools, tables, knives, and equipment regularly. Adhering to temperature control guidelines and ensuring the correct operation of kitchen appliances is another critical responsibility. Candidates will follow all company safety and security policies, report unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries promptly, and complete required safety certifications. Professionalism is expected through maintaining a clean personal appearance and uniform, practicing confidentiality regarding proprietary information, and protecting company assets. Effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to listen and respond constructively to coworkers are necessary for success. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, bending and stretching, and safely handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
