This role requires dedication to performing the less glamorous but essential tasks that keep the shop running smoothly so that all crew members can focus on delivering an exceptional experience to customers. A Shift Lead at Dutch Bros is a critical player in cultivating the Dutch Bros atmosphere during shifts, ensuring that all Broistas—Dutch Bros' term for their baristas—meet expectations, maintain enthusiasm, and deliver outstanding service. You will manage daily operations, prepare the team for specials or promotions, and be an expert on drink preparation and operational fundamentals. The role also involves training new Broistas both operationally and culturally, providing a fun-loving environment that fosters growth and excellence. Beyond operational leadership, the Shift Lead supports Shop Managers and Shop Leads by assisting with inventory management, cleanliness standards, and preparing subsequent shifts for success. Good communication skills are essential, as you will be sharing wins, opportunities, and relevant information with management and crew. Shift Leads also model company policies and actively participate in mandatory meetings and culture-building events. This position requires availability for a flexible, ever-changing schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. A Food Handler Permit or Certification is required, alongside passing mandatory training and knowledge tests as per company and regulatory standards. Compensation starts at $21.00 per hour plus tips, with additional benefits available, especially for full-time Shift Leads. • 6 months of Broista experience at Dutch Bros preferred
• No disciplinary action for the past 90 days
• Successfully completed the most recent flowcheck with 90% score or better and on time
• Ability to complete, pass and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under Dutch Bros required standards
• A Food Handler Permit/Certification as required by state/local regulations
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Availability to work a flexible, ever-changing schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
