The Part-Time Porter position starts at $20 per hour and offers flexible daytime schedules beginning at 7 a.m., with shifts lasting between 2 to 3 hours per day. This role is part-time, totaling 10 to 15 hours weekly, making it perfect for those seeking supplemental income alongside other commitments. As a Part-Time Porter, you will be responsible for general maintenance duties that include blowing breezeways, pressure washing surfaces, removing cobwebs, dusting handrails, and cleaning light fixtures. You will be using a reliable vehicle equipped with a tow hitch to transport mini dumpsters across the property, ensuring efficient waste management by hauling dumpsters to and from community compactors. Maintaining the cleanliness of areas around trash compactors and trash rooms is a key part of your daily activities. Additionally, you will pick up loose and bagged trash, clear chute rooms and dumpster areas, and complete other assigned duties to uphold the community's sanitation standards. This role demands physical and mental toughness, including the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive physical tasks, and work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working around trash, odors, and waste materials, reflecting the realistic nature of the job's setting.
