This position is focused on providing front-line customer service within the CARE Center, interacting directly with students to assist with appointment scheduling, event planning, and responding to student inquiries. The role involves supporting students through various stages of their academic and career journeys, including resume reviews, mock interviews, and guiding students in utilizing career-related technologies and platforms such as Handshake, Vector Solutions, and Blackboard. Additionally, the position entails collaboration with other CARE Center staff and community partners to facilitate employer engagement, manage job posting boards, and coordinate valuable resources and events. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking career guidance and support, offering assistance tailored to individual needs including those of Non-Traditional Occupation (NTO) students, parenting students, and students from diverse backgrounds. They will work closely with counselors and case managers to follow up on students requiring additional support, reinforcing academic and career goals. The role also includes responsibilities related to CARE Center operations such as managing the Student Cupboard and Career Closet, supporting data entry tasks, and assisting with overall programming and event coordination. Grant management duties such as tracking, reporting, and collaborating with the Career Services Coordinator are also integral to this position.

- Associate's degree in business education or related field or 2 years of comparable professional work experience
- Microsoft Office Suite certification or demonstrated proficiency experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
- Previous experience in student services and or career services related position desired
- Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
