This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Kimpton team as a Bartender. The bartender position plays a crucial role in creating memorable and personalized experiences for guests, contributing to the warm and genuine atmosphere that defines Kimpton properties. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, while also attempting to develop meaningful relationships with guests. In this bartending role, you will act not only as a service provider but also as an advocate for the bar and restaurant experience, crafting highly personal experiences that compel guests to return. Your duties will include greeting and welcoming guests, accurately processing orders in the point-of-sale system, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and monitoring guest behavior to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. The position requires teamwork and communication with support staff and management to deliver seamless service. Flexibility is important, as team members often take on additional responsibilities beyond their primary role to contribute to the overall success of the hotel experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of bartending experience and a passion for crafting exceptional drink experiences. Knowledge of wines and spirits, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in cash and credit card handling are key qualifications. Certifications such as Food Handler and Alcohol Serving certificates are valued, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed is essential.
