We are currently seeking a talented Pantry Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This union position offers a pay rate of $15.40 per hour and requires full availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Although the role primarily supports the PM shifts, flexibility to cover AM shifts is essential. Typical shifts range from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM or 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of culinary experience, with a strong understanding of cooking temperatures, solid knife skills, and experience working in high-volume production kitchens. Prior experience in Garde Manger is preferred. As a Pantry Cook at Hilton Americas-Houston, your role is critical in assisting and preparing food items that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing soups, sauces, salads, and other culinary items while also maintaining designated food stations and ensuring that cleanliness and food sanitation standards are consistently met. You will adhere strictly to correct food handling and storage procedures in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
