This is a critical role responsible for assessing, monitoring, and reporting on company operational data versus key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple lines of business including food and beverage (F&B), duty paid, and duty free operations. The position supports development initiatives and joint venture activities while providing operational and financial guidance to maximize sales, improve costs, and optimize labor usage. A successful Operations Performance Controller at HMSHost will be deeply engaged in evaluating financial risks and returns of new business projects and ensuring alignment between financial goals and operational execution. By partnering closely with branch management and participating in regular performance reviews, this role drives improvements through variance analysis and KPI monitoring such as total payroll labor hours (TPLH), sales per labor hour (SPLH), cost controls, and labor performance measures. The role also plays a key part in compliance management by ensuring adherence to company standards and facilitating operational controls. Additionally, the position requires overseeing accounting processes at designated locations, leading inventory management and cost optimization efforts, and providing impactful training and support to management teams. The Operations Performance Controller participates actively in joint venture quarterly meetings to analyze indirect spend, vendor contracts, resource utilization, and maximize financial efficiency. Maintaining the integrity of operational income statements and balance sheets, coordinating financial close processes, and executing cash management reviews are also essential responsibilities. This position reports to the Senior Director or Director of Operations Performance assigned to specific airports or regions and requires a strong financial background with expertise in accounting, financial modeling, and operational analysis within a hospitality or retail environment.
