The Operations Manager role at Hyatt Place Pasadena is a pivotal leadership position that reports directly to the Hotel General Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of daily operations across multiple departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering/Maintenance, and Food & Beverage. The Operations Manager acts as a key support figure for department heads, ensuring that team members are well coordinated and service standards are upheld according to Hyatt and Ensemble guidelines. • High school diploma or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of department-specific procedures and general hotel operations
• Ability to supervise and manage staff effectively
• Strong focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest relations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• a second language (Spanish preferred) is a plus
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
• Knowledge of and adherence to company rules and SOPs
• Experience with OPERA PMS preferred
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
