As an Onyx Host, the individual will act as the initial point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurant, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter. Responsibilities include managing guest seating efficiently by promptly seating parties according to their preferences and managing reservations and room setup to maintain smooth restaurant operations. The host will also be responsible for answering phones with professionalism, taking reservations, and providing accurate information about restaurant offerings and hotel services. The role requires anticipation of guest needs, quick problem-solving, and personalized service such as remembering and using guest names to enhance the dining experience.
Moreover, the Onyx Host must maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu and daily specials to assist guests effectively and ensure the quality and presentation of menus remain excellent.
