As a Restaurant Manager at Del Taco, you will play a pivotal role in protecting and delivering the Del Taco Brand by driving sales growth and enhancing the efficiency and profitability of the restaurant. Reporting directly to the District Manager, this leadership role demands a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of the restaurant's operations. You will be responsible for staffing the store with quality team members, recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees, and ensuring that each team member is fully certified according to Del Taco’s current training processes. Your leadership will foster a service-oriented culture grounded in fun and teamwork while nurturing the growth and professional development of your staff, including grooming future managers.
Your daily activities will be diverse, encompassing executing Del Taco standards 100% of the time and maintaining both customer and facility areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. You will guarantee that all equipment is maintained properly and that only top-quality products compliant with Del Taco’s standards reach customers. Enforcing uniforms, service consistency, and approved signage will all be part of your efforts to ensure the brand’s delivery aligns with customer expectations.
Delivering on the brand promise also means meeting or exceeding sales plans by building customer loyalty and increasing customer counts. You will be instrumental in setting clear sales goals and deploying the right personnel for peak efficiency. As a Restaurant Manager, you will execute local marketing strategies to attract new customers, stay tuned to local events and competition, and sustain the store's market position through excellent speed and service standards. You will intricately manage labor schedules to optimize workforce productivity in line with sales fluctuations, comply with labor laws rigorously, and control inventory meticulously to minimize waste and prevent theft.
Your financial oversight will include enforcing cash handling procedures, performing cash audits, managing vendor services for maintenance and repairs economically, and achieving targeted controllable costs. Safety, health compliance, and adaptability in responding to emergencies or workflow changes round out the myriad responsibilities of this demanding yet rewarding role.
