This particular job opening is for a part-time Concierge position at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge facility. The Hope Lodge serves as a supportive home-away-from-home for cancer patients and their caregivers as they undergo treatment away from home. The Concierge plays a vital role within this compassionate environment, providing front desk services and being the first point of contact for guests. This role requires a warm, approachable, and professional presence to facilitate guest check-in and check-out procedures, provide information about the lodge’s amenities and community resources, coordinate transportation and services associated with the EMPOWER Program, and respond swiftly to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies. The Concierge also oversees lobby security, fosters a safe and welcoming atmosphere, and maintains meticulous records for guests. 
The position is part-time, typically offering less than 20 hours per week with shifts scheduled based on business needs. Compensation is set at $19.50 per hour, and this role does not include eligibility for benefits. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service capabilities, strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems. Prior experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred, complemented by a high school diploma or equivalent. This role involves regular standing and walking, some manual handling tasks, and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
