The Office Supervisor role is based in Montgomery, Alabama, within Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division. This full-time, salaried position offers an annual salary of $64,600 and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The role is exempt and paid twice per month. The Office Supervisor will serve as a critical on-site point of contact for Human Resources matters and will support key financial processes, including month-end closing. They will oversee daily office activities and supervise support staff responsible for purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, event coordination, and vendor management. This position requires managing several administrative functions that keep the location running smoothly while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal guidelines. Among the key responsibilities, the Office Supervisor processes HR entry transactions such as leave of absence administration and responding to unemployment claims and payroll inquiries. They prepare accurate month-end financial reports, maintain accounts payable and receivable records throughout the month, and process necessary journal entries. The supervisor also provides leadership for their direct reports by managing performance, interpreting policies, conducting investigations into employee relations issues, and making recommendations to resolve problems effectively. The role involves coordinating new hire onboarding and warehouse recruiting efforts, as well as maintaining relationships with contingent labor providers to meet staffing needs. This role demands strong communication skills, the ability to build professional relationships at all levels within the organization, and the capability to work independently or collaboratively.
