We are currently looking for responsible and motivated individuals to join our team in the role of Equipment Operator and Concrete Mixer Driver. This role is pivotal as it involves the operation of company vehicles and heavy equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, and excavators, as well as the handling and mixing of concrete. The position requires physical endurance and a keen attention to detail to ensure that all daily tasks and safety protocols are adhered to consistently. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of duties including performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment functionality, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of work stations and equipment, and assisting with basic vehicle and plant maintenance.
This full-time employment opportunity offers a competitive starting wage of $25.50 per hour, with rate increases based on experience. To further support our workforce, we provide a $1000 sign-on bonus and a $500 referral bonus to encourage team growth and employee engagement. The position demands a strong physical ability as operators are required to push or pull weights up to 100 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs, shovel, use wheelbarrows, and perform other physically taxing tasks. Candidates must be adept at using hand tools such as hammers, mallets, wrenches, and grease guns, and must be proficient in conducting air and slump tests of concrete to ensure quality standards are met. Computer literacy is essential for operating batch panels and maintaining accurate records, including delivery tickets and vehicle inspection reports. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with drivers, customers, and contractors ensuring smooth daily operations.
Working in this role also implies adaptability to changing seasonal environments and varying work hours based on demand.
