Mainstreet Village of Richfield, part of the PHS family, is a vibrant housing with services community located at 7601 Lyndale Ave S., Richfield, MN. This community provides a continuum of care, including independent senior living, assisted senior living, and specialized memory care. The Nutrition & Culinary Services Director role at Mainstreet Village is a full-time position reporting directly to the Site Leader. This leadership role involves oversight and management of the entire Nutrition & Culinary Services program, including supervising a diverse team that ranges from assistant directors and executive chefs to cooks, servers, and nutrition coordinators. Predominantly scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, the position requires some weekend availability to meet business needs. The estimated salary range for this role is $60,070 to $75,067 annually, influenced by experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
As Nutrition & Culinary Services Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality customer meals and an exceptional dining experience that aligns with regulatory standards and established best practices. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, developing, evaluating, and effectively directing all aspects of the nutrition and culinary services. This includes direct involvement in meal preparation oversight, developing nutritious and palatable menus based on customer preferences, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with procedures.
In addition to managing meal programs, the director is responsible for fostering positive communication with customers, soliciting regular feedback to enhance meal quality and satisfaction, and encouraging resident participation in dining activities. The role requires collaboration with site leadership to develop strategies that achieve both short- and long-term operational goals for the site, promoting a dining culture that supports resident independence, choice, and well-being.
Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills in food service operations, including expertise in clinical nutrition for older adults, quality management, staff development, and community outreach. The ideal director will be flexible, possess personal integrity, and be adept at working effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including residents, families, staff, visitors, and the public. Fluency in English and compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies are essential for success in this role.

- Enrolled in or graduate of a dietary manager course with current state certification
