The role of Van Driver within Advocate Health is a part-time position dedicated to supporting the transportation needs for staff, patients, visitors, and special details. This position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 4:15 pm to 8:15 pm, with a pay range of $18.50 to $27.75 per hour. This role is benefits eligible, offering a comprehensive suite of rewards and wellness programs. The Van Driver is responsible for providing safe, prompt, and courteous van services to facilitate efficient transit between off-site and on-site locations. The position demands excellent public relations skills and a customer service orientation, as drivers assist individuals by providing information and guidance when needed. Safety and maintenance of the assigned vehicle are paramount, as well as adherence to all relevant training requirements, including completion of a driver’s training course within 30 days of hire. The van driver must respond promptly to dispatch calls, handle varying road conditions, and maintain professionalism at all times. This role is essential to ensuring smooth transportation operations within the healthcare environment, supporting Advocate Health’s mission to provide excellent care and service in a welcoming and helpful atmosphere. The driver works in a dynamic environment that includes pedestrian traffic, moderate noise levels, and exposure to airborne and bloodborne diseases, necessitating adaptability, stress management, and dedication to safe driving practices.  - Five years clear driving record
 - Past experience as van or courier driver
 - Valid applicable state driver's license with no restrictions
