As an Event Coordinator at Michaels, the employee will also deliver exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, locating products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout process. In addition to event management, operational responsibilities such as unloading trucks, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards are integral parts of the job. The position demands an energetic and enthusiastic individual who excels at interacting with guests of all ages, demonstrating crafts, performing face painting, and managing party add-ons like goody bags and balloons. In this role, the candidate will manage multiple events simultaneously, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and adjust plans according to client feedback and needs. Administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork will also be required to support smooth event execution. Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the store before, during, and after events ensures a pleasant environment for all visitors. The role further requires the employee to participate in truck un-loading, stocking, planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Cross-training in other departments such as Custom Framing selling and production is also expected.
