The role we are offering is an essential part of our environmental services team. This position is designed to ensure that the medical center remains a clean, attractive, and safe environment by performing a variety of duties, including cleaning, transporting, handling equipment, room setup, trash removal, and linen management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in sanitary maintenance, ensuring patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas within the facility are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained. This not only supports patient health and safety but also contributes greatly to the overall positive experience of visitors and staff.
Candidates for this position will need to be familiar with and capable of following local, state, and federal regulations related to sanitization and safety standards. The job requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, and effective communication skills to interact with peers, supervisors, patients, and hospital personnel. The role involves operating various environmental service equipment including floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers, ensuring proper handling and maintenance of these tools.
This is a part-time role encompassing approximately 20 hours per week, with shift hours set around 4-hour windows and varying throughout the week. Weekend work may be necessary based on operational needs. Employees in this role benefit from a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $28.21 to $32.14, subject to variation by location and individual factors such as experience and certifications.
