The role of General Manager at Aramark is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple contracted services for key clients, generating revenues typically ranging from $2 million to over $15 million. The General Manager plans, manages, and guides a diverse set of service operations which may include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more depending on the client’s needs. This position demands a versatile operations expert who can build and lead a dynamic management team to consistently deliver exceptional service, drive financial success, and maintain compliance with both contractual and regulatory standards. The General Manager plays a critical role in developing and maintaining strong client and community relationships, continually assessing operational performance and implementing strategic improvements. Financial acumen is crucial, as the role involves budgeting, financial analysis, and partnering with the finance team to optimize operational productivity and profit margins. Additionally, the General Manager ensures compliance with Aramark’s standards of operation, including safety protocols and business conduct policies. This role requires a leader who is proactive, customer-focused, financially savvy, and adept at managing multiple priorities with a focus on continuous service enhancement and team development.
