As a Cook at Arden Courts, you will play a crucial role in preparing appetizing and nutritious meals tailored to meet the dietary needs of elderly residents, including those with dementia. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Executive Chef by helping to manage food service functions efficiently and ensuring that meal preparation follows rigorous health and safety standards. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen and dining environment while adhering to state and local sanitation requirements. In this role, tact, professionalism, and sensitivity are paramount as you interact with residents and contribute to their overall well-being through quality food service. Providing excellent service while ensuring compliance with all health codes and safety protocols is a key aspect of this position.   • High School diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation
  • knowledge and experience with elderly care
  • previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
