Typically working in person, the Night Auditor is expected to report ten minutes before the shift change to facilitate a smooth handover and transition of responsibilities. Throughout the shift, the Night Auditor performs routine checks and corrections of errors encountered in the day’s work, operates check systems, and maintains the cleanliness and readiness of the lobby and continental breakfast setup.
A crucial component of the role involves managing guest interactions, including handling reservations and entering them accurately into the hotel's computer system. The Night Auditor also participates in regular audits following strict guidelines, which are essential for identifying discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial reporting.
Beyond financial tasks, the Night Auditor has a range of responsibilities including familiarizing themselves with the property’s layout, emergency procedures, and key locations such as gas cut-offs, water, electrical controls, and master key areas. This preparation ensures the auditor can respond effectively to guest issues and emergencies, contributing to overall safety and operational efficiency.
Training plays a significant role in preparing the Night Auditor, with an initial two-week training period followed by a 120-day probation during which ongoing support from the management team is provided. This comprehensive approach ensures the individual is fully equipped to work independently and uphold Daly Seven's high standards.
With a pay range of $13.00 to $16.00 per hour, this position offers a competitive hourly wage within the hospitality industry.
