The role of Cleaner at ABM focuses on providing cleaning and upkeep services for assigned areas within various facilities. This position is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, as no prior experience or formal education is required—on-the-job training is provided. Essential responsibilities include cleaning buildings and facilities, using chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to prevent damage, and notifying management about necessary repairs. The Cleaner will maintain effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients while adhering strictly to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards. Key job duties include cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment; moving cabinets and equipment as needed; cleaning interior glass and mirrors; replacing blinds; gathering and emptying trash; performing seasonal maintenance tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, or snow removal; maintaining cleanliness in food areas; and servicing restrooms.
