The role opening is for an experienced Fixed Wing Air Ambulance Pilot (IFR/PIC) certified on the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, responsible for leading flight operations that are critical in medical emergency contexts. The pilot is expected to uphold the highest standards of flight safety and professionalism while serving as the final authority on aircraft operations during their shifts. This position involves close interactions with patients, medical personnel, and operational staff, requiring excellent communication skills and a strong emphasis on teamwork and professionalism. Pilots must ensure the aircraft is maintained in a state of airworthiness, perform pre-flight inspections, and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the aircraft. This is a demanding role with a schedule that includes 12-hour shifts with 7 days on and 7 days off or 4 days on and 4 days off, totaling up to 182.5 work days or 2,190 hours annually. The pilot should be prepared to accept occasional extra shifts to cover for absences, vacations, or staffing shortfalls. Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, company policies, and operational safety procedures is mandatory, and pilots must regularly participate in training and competency checks.
