The role available is for a Bar Back position with an hourly pay rate of $17.50. This is a vital support role within the beverage service team, responsible for maintaining the smooth operation behind the bar and related areas. The Bar Back will lead larger departmental projects as requested by management, ensuring tasks are approached with leadership and organizational skills. Major responsibilities include overseeing and creating deep cleaning schedules, managing deliveries, replenishing supplies of liquor, beer, garnishes, and other beverage-related inventory, as well as stocking miscellaneous paper supplies. The role extends to maintaining cleanliness and order across both front and back of house work areas. In addition to operational support, the Bar Back plays a key role in training new hires and inspecting concert and banquet event setups to ensure accuracy and completion. A strong element of the job involves assisting bartenders by serving guests in compliance with TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) to uphold all legal and safety regulations concerning alcohol service. This position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to provide friendly and efficient guest service, and the capacity to handle transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system. It also requires setting up and closing workstations according to established procedures, all while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
