This position is tailored for a Ramp Agent who will be an integral part of the ground operations team at the airport. As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure the safe and efficient handling of aircraft on the ground. This includes loading and unloading aircraft, guiding planes safely to and from gates, and managing passenger baggage and air cargo with the utmost care to prevent damage or loss. The role requires physical stamina and attention to detail as the agent will be responsible for lifting heavy items, operating motorized ground support equipment, and performing other manual tasks essential to daily airport operations. The Ramp Agent also plays a crucial role in safeguarding the airline's and customers' property, ensuring that all baggage, freight, and mail are properly processed and documented according to company procedures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with pilots, ground crew, and other airport personnel are important for success in this role. The Ramp Agent must maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers and follow safety protocols rigorously to avoid any accidents or damage to aircraft and equipment.   • must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
  • must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
  • must be able to work in cramped or high places
  • must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
  • high school diploma or GED
