The Northern Valley Indian Health (NVIH) is a committed healthcare organization dedicated to providing comprehensive medical services to Native American communities and surrounding populations. As an ambulatory care facility, NVIH offers a wide range of outpatient healthcare services focused on accessibility, quality, and cultural sensitivity. Emphasizing patient-centered care, the organization integrates traditional health practices with modern medicine to serve the unique needs of its patients. NVIH is known for its collaborative and supportive work environment, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth for its staff.
The Lead Medical Reception Trainer position at NVIH plays a critical role within the organization by ensuring that the front-line clinic reception staff are well-trained, confident, and proficient in their roles. Working under the general supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, the Lead Medical Reception Trainer acts as a subject matter expert in reception duties within an ambulatory healthcare setting. This role is essential in shaping the initial and ongoing training for new employees as they onboard and adapt to the clinic’s operational workflows, including Agency Policies and Procedures, clinic-specific processes, and the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
This role not only involves instructional training but also requires collaboration with Clinic Support Supervisors (CSS) to maintain consistency in training quality and operational standards across various clinic sites. The trainer helps adapt procedures to align with NVIH's core values and mission, fostering a supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. The Lead Medical Reception Trainer will occasionally step into clinic operations to support smooth daily functions, which directly impacts patient experience positively. Personnel in this role are expected to uphold NVIH's core values by maintaining high service standards, promoting teamwork, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies. This is primarily a full-time position focused on clinic support, with a dynamic blend of training, operational involvement, and administrative collaboration intended to improve patient service and staff performance throughout NVIH's ambulatory care programs.
