The role of Sous Chef at Eurest, based in Chandler, Arizona, within the Northrop Grumman location, offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to be part of a premier service team. This is a full-time position with a schedule primarily from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, including the possibility of working some nights and weekends. The pay range for this role is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour, reflective of the importance placed on skilled candidates with prior culinary experience.
As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking food while managing kitchen activities and staff. This position demands a mix of culinary expertise, leadership, and operational skills. Tasks include ensuring food is prepared according to approved recipes and production standards, supervising hourly food service associates, and maintaining sanitation and food safety compliance. The Sous Chef also ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance, all critical elements in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Additionally, this role requires excellent communication skills to interact with customers and resolve complaints effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction. Inventory management and waste tracking are also key components to ensure kitchen efficiency and cost control. The Sous Chef is expected to uphold Hygiene and sanitation standards rigorously and maintain a well-organized and clean workspace at all times.
