Currently, Ascent Hospitality is seeking a uniquely qualified General Manager to spearhead daily operations at one of its hotels. The General Manager role is pivotal for ensuring outstanding guest service and achieving financial profitability. This leadership position requires overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, service quality, operational efficiency, compliance with brand standards, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead multiple departments such as rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering to ensure profitability and strong interdepartmental cooperation. Acting as the primary liaison with hotel owners and corporate entities, the General Manager will also be involved in sales initiatives, community affairs, and staff development. The role demands a hands-on management style with a focus on motivating employees, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting employee retention through regular training and meetings. The General Manager must possess excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding a diverse team and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.   • Must have 3-5 years prior experience as a general manager
  • college education preferred
  • proven experience as hotel manager or relevant role with emphasis on sales
  • understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
  • demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • reliable with ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • must be responsible, reliable, ethical, employee centric, and customer centric
  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
