The position available is for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager at the Broadway Plaza location in Rochester, MN. Offering both full-time and part-time employment options with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $18.00 to $24.00, the position demands a dedicated individual capable of balancing operational oversight with hands-on housekeeping management. The schedule primarily involves Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm hours, with occasional weekend rotations and a possibility of working holidays or alternate shifts depending on business needs. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Housekeeping Department by assisting with supervision and administration of daily operations to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This includes overseeing guest room preparation, public area maintenance, and ensuring all back-of-house areas meet safety and brand compliance requirements. The incumbent will work closely with housekeeping and laundry staff to deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. Key responsibilities include managing room assignments, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency. This role requires actively participating in staff training and development programs, monitoring labor costs, and consistently addressing guest concerns with professionalism and promptness. Furthermore, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager will be tasked with maintaining detailed records, generating reports, and supporting special projects such as seasonal deep cleaning and preventive maintenance initiatives. Supervisory duties are integral to this position, involving direct oversight of housekeeping attendants, laundry attendants, and public area attendants. The role requires assigning daily duties, inspecting work quality, participating in recruitment and onboarding, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. Performance management, including feedback, coaching, and recognition, will be key to ensuring a motivated and engaged team that shares a commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Ideal candidates should bring a minimum of two years’ experience in housekeeping within a hotel or similar hospitality environment, along with prior supervisory or team leadership experience. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong leadership qualities, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
