The role of Men’s Grill Waiter - Server is a full-time position on the hospitality team. This role is crucial in maintaining the club’s standard for seamless and refined dining experiences within the exclusive men's grill dining area. The position offers competitive hourly pay of $13.00 plus an 18% service charge, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance (eligible within the first 30 days), basic life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. The working schedule is primarily the evening shift from Tuesday through Sunday, with some holidays and split shifts required.
As the Men’s Grill Waiter - Server, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food and beverage service in a professional and courteous manner. Daily duties include setting up the dining room to ensure it is welcoming and well-prepared for members, greeting members warmly as they arrive, taking and fulfilling food and drink orders promptly and accurately, and providing knowledgeable assistance by answering questions, explaining menu items, and making recommendations tailored to member preferences. The job requires a proactive approach where you anticipate members’ needs to create a smooth and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Beyond service delivery, you will manage the financial aspects of your station by closing checks, preparing reports, and handling tip outs, while communicating any concerns or feedback to management.
In addition to serving responsibilities, this role involves close teamwork to maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry, dining room, food service, and storage areas. You will participate in regular staff meetings and ongoing training programs aimed at enhancing your alcohol and food service expertise. Applicants should have more than one year of restaurant serving experience and a solid understanding of proper alcohol and food service practices. While country club experience and basic computer skills are preferred, a high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum education requirement.
