We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Host/Hostess to join our distinguished Restaurant team. The Host/Hostess will play a pivotal role in greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires thorough knowledge of the restaurant's features, menu offerings, and local attractions to accurately attend to guest inquiries. The ideal candidate will embody the Peabody Service Excellence® standards, maintain positive guest relations, and exhibit calm, clear communication. Responsibilities include overseeing the dining area's ambiance and cleanliness, coordinating seating arrangements, and guiding restaurant staff during service times. Hosts/Hostesses must be adept at handling guest complaints promptly and professionally, aiming for complete guest satisfaction. The role demands attention to detail for proper table setups and station assignments, as well as knowledge of state liquor laws to ensure responsible service. Additionally, the Host/Hostess supports secondary tasks such as assisting in food and beverage service, handling cashier duties when needed, and participating in menu and wine tastings. This position demands physical stamina for movements and lifting up to 35 pounds as well as excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and interact with diverse clientele. Candidates should be fluent in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and politely both verbally and in writing. A minimum of one year experience in a similar customer-facing role is required, alongside adherence to the Peabody grooming and service standards.
