The Member Experience Representative at Pelican State Credit Union plays a vital front-line role in delivering exceptional service to all members entering the branch. Based at the Opelousas Branch located at 2508 S Union St, Opelousas, LA, this full-time position involves greeting members, assisting with their financial transactions, and providing support both in-person and through phone and digital communication channels. The role demands a positive, can-do attitude as well as strong cash-handling skills and member service proficiency. The Member Experience Representative acts as a concierge for member interactions in the branch lobby, helping with account openings and closings, routine transactions like deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, and supporting Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) operations. In addition to transactional responsibilities, this role requires an ability to work comfortably in a sales-driven environment by promoting and cross-selling Pelican’s products and services tailored to members’ financial needs. The position supports the overall lobby and teller operations and entails balancing the teller drawer daily to ensure accuracy. Pelican provides a structured weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, without travel requirements.
