The specialist will coordinate all pre-planning and onsite logistics for a variety of meetings, encompassing national, international, and regional surgeon education programs, fellows’ education, and cadaver labs. This position requires close collaboration with Professional Education Managers, Marketing, and Sales teams to execute regional surgeon education events effectively.\n\nThe role focuses on managing the non-clinical aspects of the customer experience at Axogen’s educational events, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and AATB regulations alongside company and ethical standards. The Meetings and Events Specialist is integral in vendor selection, contract negotiation, budget management, and ensuring events are delivered smoothly and within financial limits. This position demands extensive travel, accounting for 50-70% of the role, including weekend work, reflecting the hands-on nature of event coordination and on-site event management.\n\nSuccessful candidates will be skilled at streamlining event planning processes, managing attendees’ travel and accommodations, coordinating logistics like shipping and audiovisual needs, and handling all regulatory and compliance documentation. Proficiency with event management systems such as CVENT, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MedCompli, and others is essential. - Bachelor's degree in life sciences and/or in a related field
- At least three years' experience in life science event planning including venue selection contract negotiation on-site coordination and compliance documentation and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Availability to travel 50-70% including weekends
- Event moderator or host experience preferred
- Medical device and/or continuing medical education (CME) event experience preferred
- Track record of vendor negotiation preferred
