We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist and Referral Coordinator with a call center focus to join our expanding healthcare team in a full-time, onsite capacity during weekdays. This hybrid role is critical as you will be the first point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone, providing a seamless bridge between patients and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will encompass appointment scheduling, insurance verification, managing referral coordination, and facilitating smooth communication that ensures efficiency and patient satisfaction. As part of your day-to-day duties, you will greet patients warmly, process check-ins and check-outs efficiently, collect insurance information, manage provider calendars, and respond promptly to patient inquiries. Your role also involves handling referral processes, verifying insurance eligibility, and maintaining accurate records within our electronic health record systems. You will support the clinic operationally by managing patient communication portals, billing inquiries, and tracking appointment statuses including no-shows and cancellations. Mobility between locations may be necessary to ensure adequate coverage. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in medical office or call center environments, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures, as well as proficiency with EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks and Microsoft Office.
