The role of Receptionist at GAP is an essential part of maintaining exemplary patient service and operational excellence. This position involves a wide range of administrative and general office duties critical to the flow of daily operations. The receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a friendly, courteous, and professional welcome. Important job functions involve handling phone inquiries, welcoming patients, guiding them according to the purpose of their visit, and efficiently managing waiting area flow.
The Receptionist is also responsible for collecting co-pays, co-insurance, and past due balances, ensuring smooth financial transactions with patients. Other key duties include managing appointment scheduling, maintaining an organized and inviting reception area, updating insurance and patient information in the computer system, and following all safety and confidentiality policies mandated by GAP. Strong customer service skills are necessary to handle patient interactions calmly and pleasantly, contributing to a positive healthcare experience.
