The role of Paramedic at Mount Carmel East Trauma Center is an integral position within this acclaimed health system. This full-time position involves working night shifts of 12 hours, specifically from 6pm to 6:30am, including rotating weekends and holidays, to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced trauma setting. The Paramedic will operate under the guidance of physicians and in collaboration with registered nurses, performing a wide range of clinical and emergency procedures. Responsibilities include initiating respiratory interventions, intravenous and intraosseous access, interpreting cardiac rhythms, patient transport and monitoring, emergency medication administration, and trauma team participation. The position requires adherence to organizational policies and protocols, ensuring treatments and procedures are performed following approved medical standards. The Paramedic is also expected to handle patient identification protocols, maintain necessary equipment, and engage actively in quality benchmarks such as facilitating door to EKG times within triage.   • High school or GED
  • Successful completion of an approved course(s) including basic patient care skills, EKG and phlebotomy
  • Current Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio
  • ACLS certification required
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider required
  • PALS certification preferred
  • 2-4 years previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
  • Effective communication skills
