The role of Material Handler at Finlays Solutions is a critical position within the warehouse department, focused on efficiently managing the receipt and shipment of packages and orders. The position operates on the 2nd shift, from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, at the on-site facility in San Antonio, TX. With a rate of $17.00 per hour, this role involves the physical handling of materials and packages to ensure timely movement throughout the warehouse operations. The Material Handler is responsible for operating forklifts and other necessary equipment such as wrapping machines, ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the company’s mission, business philosophy, ethics, and quality standards. This role demands a keen attention to detail for verifying orders, checking shipment damages, labeling shipments correctly, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials. As a Material Handler, you will be part of a dynamic warehouse team led by the Warehouse Manager, where collaboration and communication are pivotal. The position requires knowledge of inventory location processes, food safety standards, and safe trailer loading procedures. Practical use of technology is integral to the role, specifically the use of RF scanning devices to move and track inventory efficiently. You will navigate a busy warehouse environment with physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, and the continuous lifting or moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. This job is ideal for candidates with prior forklift experience and certification, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with peers and management. • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
