This Full-Time, Management-level position within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations department plays a crucial role in sustaining the resort's high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The role primarily involves supporting the day-to-day activities of various operational areas, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS (Associate Your Service), and Concierge/Guest Services. This position demands strong leadership and organizational skills to assist employees in delivering exceptional guest arrival and departure experiences while ensuring the property adheres to its cleanliness and operational protocols. Working closely with department teams, the associate manager will also contribute to maintaining operating budgets, optimizing revenue, and implementing effective staff scheduling.
The role focuses heavily on supporting the management of rooms operations by opening and closing shifts for Front Desk and Housekeeping, reviewing critical operational reports, and ensuring compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures. An understanding of various departments' functions such as Recreation, Laundry, Bell Staff, and Concierge services is necessary to efficiently coordinate activities and provide seamless guest service. Equipment operation, uniform and supply management, and night audit procedure comprehension are part of the responsibilities, further underscoring the role's comprehensive involvement in operational effectiveness.
Additionally, this position supports budgeting by supervising same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and property occupancy. The role involves verifying room rate accuracy, collaborating with financial reports and payroll progress, and managing departmental expenses to meet or exceed budget goals. A strategic understanding of how room operations impact overall property financial goals is essential.
Integral to this position is the management of the guest experience. The associate will assist in investigating employee and guest incidents, utilize guest information tracking systems to recognize repeat guest preferences and maintain high-level guest relations. Direct interaction with guests to gather feedback, respond to concerns, and foster a welcoming environment are key to enhancing customer satisfaction. The role also includes participating in the review of guest feedback and satisfaction results to continuously improve service quality.
The hourly pay range for this position is $27.50 to $31.25, accompanied by a bonus program and a comprehensive suite of benefits.  - Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
 - Minimum 1 year professional experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related field
