The Store Manager position plays a vital role in maintaining the seamless day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction. This full-time role includes managing car wash and food service operations, overseeing inventory and financial performance, and leading a team of employees to uphold high standards of service and appearance.
The Store Manager is responsible for workforce management, including recruiting, training, developing, and supervising all store staff. They act as a motivational leader who fosters teamwork, provides performance feedback, and addresses employee relations issues proactively. Scheduling and attendance management are also critical to ensure smooth store operation and compliance with company policies. Financial accountability is a key component of the role, involving budget development, profit optimization, loss prevention, pricing strategies, and inventory control to drive sales volume. Moreover, the manager upholds compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to convenience store and food operation.
Customer service excellence is prioritized, with the Store Manager ensuring every customer receives a warm greeting and outstanding service that promotes specials and product offerings. Physical requirements include the ability to lift weights, stand for extended periods, and traverse all store areas. For applicants in Maine, UST Class A/B Certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
