The Manager in Training (MIT) position at World Wide Wings is a critical role designed to prepare future leaders within the company by providing hands-on experience managing critical departments including Heart of House, Bar, and Hospitality. As a Manager in Training, individuals will gain expertise in operational management, team leadership, and strategic business practices essential to running successful restaurant environments. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities such as staffing, training, inventory control, quality assurance, customer service management, financial oversight, and compliance with health and safety regulations. MITs are tasked with supporting department managers and the General Manager in streamlining operations and improving profitability by managing labor costs, vendor relationships, and inventory levels. They will oversee team member development and motivation while fostering a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. This position is also focused on maintaining consistent service and food quality standards, utilizing performance measurement tools like Guest Experience Management (GEM), Quality Service Cleanliness (QSC) audits, and Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis to drive operational enhancements. Additional responsibilities include adhering to company policies, executing marketing and sales initiatives, and managing complaint resolution to ensure guest satisfaction. Physical demands require candidates to handle a variety of tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and operating restaurant equipment in a high-energy setting. The Manager in Training position requires a minimum of two years of restaurant or retail management experience, with an emphasis on those who have managed establishments with full bar operations preferred. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and possess strong organizational, communication, and mathematical skills.
