The role of Manager Hospitality Services at Kootenai Health is a dynamic and influential leadership position responsible for managing and enhancing the patient and guest food services experience. This managerial role involves operational oversight of hospitality services, including retail operations and patient service delivery, which are critical components of the overall patient care environment. The Manager Hospitality Services is tasked with driving business development initiatives that support growth and expansion of retail outlets within the healthcare setting, ensuring that service delivery exceeds expectations and aligns with the organization’s mission of patient-centered care.

Proficiency in managing financial resources is essential, including budget development, monitoring revenue using systems like Mircos POS, and partnering with the Executive Chef to manage food cost percentages in the retail environment. Leadership extends beyond operations, encompassing staff development, training coordination, and collaborative service delivery with other departments to create a seamless, positive patient and guest experience.
This role demands strong project management and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. The Manager Hospitality Services must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and department-wide software tools. Exceptional leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams, are paramount.
