The role of Manager of Event Planning and Strategy is a vital position within AdventHealth Orlando. This full-time day-shift role requires an experienced professional who will coordinate and oversee various business events from conception to completion. The manager is responsible for the experiential creation of events, agenda development, and collaborating closely with stakeholders through intention meetings. They develop event programs in partnership with the audio-visual team, manage a speaker database, and provide recommendations aligning with event goals and scope. Responsibilities also include preparing and proofreading written and graphic materials, creating detailed show flows, conducting pre-production meetings, performing vendor and site research, negotiating contracts, managing expenses, selecting food and beverages, overseeing audio-visual requirements, reconciling budgets, and analyzing post-event data including client and attendee engagement metrics. The manager ensures that every event aligns with AdventHealth's high standards of quality and service excellence. To succeed in this role, the manager must excel in communication, organization, and time management. They need to demonstrate diplomacy and sound decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations. This position demands working knowledge of business practices and close collaboration with event owners or project sponsors to fully develop event profiles, set timelines, secure venues, and oversee on-site event operations. The manager will cultivate strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external resources, including agencies, vendors, caterers, and local staffing, to ensure seamless event execution. Additionally, the role involves tracking event KPIs, proposing continuous improvements, and maintaining a preferred vendor list through rigorous vendor quote comparisons. • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business or related field
• Minimum five years of experience in event planning and management
