NASCAR Event Management is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join their team as Manager, Competition Operations. This role is central to ensuring the flawless execution of NASCAR race events, with responsibilities spanning across personnel management, safety protocols, logistical coordination, aesthetic considerations, and operational functionality at racing venues. The Manager, Competition Operations will function as a project manager overseeing multiple critical initiatives related to the execution of national NASCAR events as well as developmental and touring series races. This position requires close collaboration with racetrack venues, broadcast partners, and internal departments like NASCAR Productions and timing and scoring to ensure that each event is conducted to the highest standard. Travel is a significant component of this role, with approximately 90 percent of time spent onsite at various racetracks nationwide to conduct surveys, report on venue preparedness, and support ongoing projects and event logistics.
The ideal candidate for this position will lead event operations comprehensively, serve as race director for development and touring series, and act as a liaison between NASCAR and venue construction projects. Other key duties include coordinating event schedules with multiple NASCAR departments, producing detailed operational handbooks, participating in rule book development, and leading pre- and post-event logistics debriefs focused on continuous improvement. With a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $72,000 per year, this full-time role offers a dynamic work environment tailored for professionals passionate about motorsports and event management.
