The Lot Porter will play a critical role in supporting daily lot operations, ensuring the safe and organized handling of vehicles. This position requires a hands-on individual who can efficiently conduct truck inspections, maintain safety protocols, and facilitate the seamless organization of vehicles for inbound and outbound drivers. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, be physically fit to navigate large lots, and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. The role also demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment. As a Lot Porter at Sweetie Boy Delivers, responsibilities include conducting daily inventory control through comprehensive lot scans to ensure all vehicles are properly tracked in the system, managing the check-in process for delivered vehicles, and handling the issuance and return of essential equipment such as license plates and safety vests. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and hazard-free lot, organizing vehicles strategically for efficient space use, and managing office supply storage. Additionally, the Lot Porter will stage cars for drivers, oversee the distribution and collection of keys and paperwork, and secure company assets with an organized storage system. This role involves vehicle damage inspections, helping direct car haulers during loading and unloading, and maintaining adherence to scheduled hauler appointments. Standing and walking for extended periods, as well as performing occasional bending, kneeling, and stooping during vehicle inspections, are inherent aspects of the job. The compensation for this position is $17.50 per hour with weekly pay through direct deposit. The schedule includes 40 hours per week, featuring rotating weekends and shift timings primarily from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM on weekends.
