The Chef De Cuisine at TradeWinds Resort plays a critical role in ensuring meal quality, consistency, visual appeal, taste, and cost control across all kitchen operations. This dynamic position involves training kitchen staff, maintaining corporate quality standards, enforcing food specifications, monitoring portion control, and driving compliance with sanitation and health regulations. The chef is instrumental in managing food and labor costs, coordinating daily kitchen activities, responding promptly to guest feedback, and ensuring smooth communication among food and beverage managers.
This full-time, yearly salaried position requires the chef to oversee all facets of food production, including hot and cold food preparation, bakery outputs, and cafeteria operations. The Chef De Cuisine collaborates closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage to create innovative menus and implement corporate promotions. Attention to detail is paramount as this role involves regular review of food quality, proper food storage, sanitation compliance, and accurate preparation of reports related to payroll, revenue, and food costs. The position demands a professional committed to maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence, team performance, and guest satisfaction, all within the lively and scenic environment of TradeWinds Island Resorts.
                - At least high school diploma or equivalent
 - Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen setting
 - Culinary degree or certification preferred
 - Strong leadership and team management skills
 - Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service
 - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
 - Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
 - Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and promptly
 - Commitment to quality and consistency in food production
 - Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
 - Familiarity with inventory and cost control procedures
